For the Love of Penguins

Playing along with Muse this Week.  I had so much fun with my creation this week.  I wanted to
Muse Challenge #251
try marbling with alcohol inks. I used Tim Holtz alcohol inks and stayed mono chromatic.  I also used Stampin Up! Colored pencils and Aqua painters to get the water color affect. I took inspiration from The layout and from the cute animals.

What I did for this Muse:
Stamps and Products:
Cardstock: Whisper White (SU!) 11 x 8 1/2- scored at 5 1/2, Whisper White ( SU!) 5 1/4 x 4, small piece to stamp Penguins
2 x 5 1/2 Glitter strip
Stitched Thinly set
Thin Dimensionals to give a little lift to the the circle
Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks: Mermaid & Indigo
Marvy Snow Marker
Colored pencils(SU!)
Aqua painters)SU!)
Heat Tool
Nuvo Crystal Drops- Clear
Wink of Stella (SU!)
Here is this week's Muse by Vicki Dutcher:

I began with the main panel. I followed the instructions for marbling that Jennifer McGuire has created a great tutorial.

I filled a small rectangular glass tub an inch with water.  I dropped about 6 drops of Alcohol ink (5 Mermaid, 1 Indigo) I lightly swirled. I did this with about 5 different pieces of paper.  I wanted to have options and use a piece from another panel for the background for the sentiment.
Here are my others panels.  I am planning on saving them for later projects:

While the paper dried, I cut out 2 stitched circles and lightly colored 1 with a variety of blue and green watercolor pencils.  I used the Aqua Painter to wet the paper and blend the colors.  I cut the bottom of the other circle to make a snowy mound for the penguins to stand on.  I colored the snow hill in with the Snow Marker and heat set so it puffs up like snow.
Here's a close up of the snowy mound:

Next, I stamped the Penguins, used Colored pencils and the aqua painter to color them in.  After everything dried, I sandwiched the papers between copy paper and ran through my Big Shot to flatten. I cut the sparkle paper to fit along the side and used Tear tape to adhere it to the panel.  I put together my snowy penguins on top of the snow hill and attached the circle using dimensionals.  I used a scrap of the Marble paper to stamp the sentiment on. The last step I added some clear sparkly Nuvo dots and  "painted" the snow with Wink of Stella.
