I have been enjoying playing along with Case This Sketch and the Muse Challenges over the past month. I've really been able to stick with my resolution of submitting cards to weekly design challenges. This week's
CAS(E) sketch is pretty straight forward.
Emily is the guest designer this week; her blog is so fun to look through. I wanted to create a few of these. Each one turned out a little different. I need some get well cards and thought floral was a perfect focal point for this type of card.
This also fits the criteria for
Muse challenge this week. For the
Muse challenge, I took inspiration from the tiny butterfly, the floral, and the layout.
What I did:
Paper: Cajun Craze cut 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4, Whisper White cut 5 1/4 x 4 1/8 Cajun Craze
Ink: Cajun Craze, Tangerine Tango, and Crushed Curry (All SU!), Moments Black (SU!)
Sponge Daubers
I started by inking up the dauber with the lightest color and worked my way up going lightest to the darkest.
The flowers were from an Older set I had, perhaps Tim Holtz.

Well done for entering all the challenges. This was a good idea for a Get Well card. I think it would cheer anyone up to have this by their bed.
ReplyDeleteLovely card Suzanne, lovely shading in the background
