Final Days of Sale-A-Bration

Do you need ink refills- now is the time to get them- especially 2017-2019 IN COLORS. These will be retired at the end of May. The refills of any stamp pad is the best way to make these last and get the most for your money.  I'm ordering a black refill this time, too.

Foil

I have been interested in using Foil in my cards.  There is a bit of  a learning curve.  Sometimes the Foil doesn't stick, other times it melts too much.  I find that I really have success when I use my Laser Printer. For this card I stamped the sentiment with Versa mark ink and then used sticky powder over it. I placed a foil sheet over the sentiment and put it through the Laminating machine without using any heat.

Looking Forward to Spring

Global Design Project's Case the designer.  I think I may have gone off a little.  I pictured rainbow  Seeing the snow and ice out our windows, it's hard to being me to be inspired and create a garden card.  This Challenge I found Spring.  It may be only in my mind. But, I was able to get it on these cards.  Hope you enjoy and you are inspired to make Spring. Unfortunately, I missed the deadline to turn this one in. These cards turned out so pretty, I just had to share them anyway.

What I did:
STAMPS: Bloom By Bloom(SU! Occasions Catalog) stamp set. Similar items at Simon Says Stamp.
CARDSTOCK & PAPER: Night of Navy(SU!) card base: cut 5.5 x 8 1/2 scored at 4.25, Whisper White(SU!) cut  5.25 x 4, adhering it to the card base Tear Tape’ , after everything was stamped on it.

Other: Snail Adhesive(SU!) Tear & Tape (SU!) Simply Scored (SU!) Scissor snips
TECHNIQUE: First, I stamped the left hand side with Versa Mark, used white embossing powder over it, and embossed using heat tool.  By embossing this causes any ink added to the card to resist.  I built The different colors using the Tim Holtz Blending tool. I spritzed with a little water and tapped wet paint brush to expose the wonderful benefits of the distressing.  Last, I adhered the card front to the base.

Bubbles

This week's Less is More challenge is all about the sentiment.  They are keeping it simple with a single layer and simple background. The sentiment is from Butterfly Gala stamp set (SU! 2019 Occasions Catalog) The background is from Beauty Abounds.  This is one of Stampin' Up's new cling stamp set.

What I did:
STAMPS: Beauty Abounds(SU! Occasions Catalog) stamp set.
Sentiment: Butterfly Gala
CARDSTOCK & PAPER: White(SU!) card base: cut 4.25 x 11 scored at 5.5, Whisper White(SU!) cut 5.25 x 4, adhering it to the card base using Dimensionals, after everything was stamped on it. INK:Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather, Momento Basic Black
OTHER: Snail Adhesive(SU!), dimensionals,  Tear & Tape (SU!) Simply Scored (SU!) Scissor snips TECHNIQUE: Nothing fancy.  After cutting the white out I stamped the various bubbles using the different colors.  Used the ink spritz stamp and stamped off the color, first, then stamped.  Using the Stamperatus I stamped the sentiment several times, inking between each time.

Hope Your Day is Amazing

GDP 176 

I am just loving the Bloom By Bloom(SU! Occasions Catalog) stamp set.  It is so versatile. I'm entering this in this week's Global Design Project 176. I loved the rainbow colors that this week's designers used. This stamp set can be used to make one of a kind papers and backgrounds.


What I did:
STAMPS: Bloom By Bloom(SU! Occasions Catalog) stamp set. Similar items at Simon Says Stamp.
CARDSTOCK & PAPER: Lemon Lime Twist(SU!) card base: cut 5.5 x 8 1/2 scored at 4.25, Whisper White(SU!) cut  5.25 x 4, adhering it to the card base Tear Tape’ , after everything was stamped on it.
INK:Granny Apple Green, Garden Green, Pineapple Punch, Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, and Basic Black.
Other: Snail Adhesive(SU!) Tear & Tape (SU!) Simply Scored (SU!) Scissor snips
TECHNIQUE: Lots of stamping.  Just used my stamping blocks.  Started with the largest images first, fitting everything else in the empty space.  Used Stamperatus to stamp the Sentiment.  Stamped the sentiment 5 times and added black ink after each stamping.

Frogs Go Wild

I participated in CAS(E) this Sketch #308 this week.  I had some great fun with this So Hoppy Together Cling stamp set from Stampin' Up Sale-A-Bration catalog.  You can get this free through the month of March when you place a $50 order with me.  The paper is from another free item- Butterfly Botanicals.

CARDSTOCK & PAPER: Lemon Lime Twist(SU!) card base: cut 10 x 4.25 scored at 5.5, Butterfly after everything was stamped,

Botanical DSP (SU! Sale-A-Bration 2019) cut 5.25 x 4, Scrap of Lemon Lime Twist, scrap of White to stamp the froggy on.  Whisper White(SU!) cut  5.25 x 4, adhering it to the card inside using Tear Tape’ ,
INK: Lemon Lime Twist (SU!), Black(SU!)
Other: Stampin' Up! Colored pencils, Snail Adhesive(SU!) Tear & Tape (SU!), Stampin' Dimensionals, Simply Scored (SU!) Scissor snips
TECHNIQUE:
Nothing fancy here, just stamped The froggy on the white paper.  I colored one in with green pencil, the other, I only colored in the belly.  Not sure which one I like more.
