Holiday Cheer!

Happy Holidays. I hope you are all in the holiday Spirit.  So why do people say Happy Holidays? If you know what holiday an individual celebrates go ahead and say, 'Merry Christmas' or 'Happy Hanukkah'

Nov.1 - Jan. 14 there are approximately 29 holidays observed by 7 of the world's major religions.

I hope you enjoy pictures from my latest project.  This is a treat and gift card holder.  The Belly band is as wide as the gift box so the box can slide into it like a sleeve. You can lay the gift card on top or under the treats.  The treats are Hershey Nuggets wrapped in matching DSP.  This is a great idea fro any occasion.  Just get matching card stock, DSP and you have yourself a great gift.  This is your last chance to order the Envelope Punch Board.  It is on Clearance right now.  Go online and grab up the last of the holiday paper and punch board before they are gone: My Store

What I did:
STAMPS:First Frost, Cup of Cheer- Basically any sentiment stamp.
CARDSTOCK & PAPER: Tolie Tidings, Let it Snow, any Good DSP will work. Real Red, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, Green Spruce, any matching Stamping' Up! Cardstock, because it is thick and strong.

TECHNIQUE: Using the envelope punch board you can create these boxes. Start by scoring and punching at 2" and 3-1/8" then turn and follow the lines and punch and score on the other 3 sides. Finish by rounding the flaps.
The DSP is cut at 3-1/2 x 6-3/4.  Scored at 1-3/8 and 2-3/16 flip to the other end 1-3/8 and 2-3/16 again. Score and fold.  Fit to your box and adhere. Make sure it's not too tight so the box can slide in and out easily.
Used Everyday Label punch and Pretty Label punch to mount the sentiment on.  Added a sprig from a thinlet fro some holiday greenery.

Polka Dotted Metallic Birthday

Happy September!  I am entering this cute card in Less is More Challenge for Metallics. I found this cute card design on Youtube. Jenn is so cute! ArtsyFartsyGallery.com    I have also been trying to use some of my old paper and not have it just 'SIT' there looking pretty.  Paper is meant to be made into something.  I love the Piece of Cake Stamp set and matching punch.  It is so versatile.
The DSP paper panel has some gold foil elements and the Happy birthday Sentiment is Embossed using gold.  I also dipped the edges of the front panel in Versa Mark and then embossed those as well.

Here is the Challenge:

What I did: STAMPS: Piece Of Cake(SU! 2019/20Main Catalog) stamp set.
 Sentiment: Piece of Cake
CARDSTOCK & PAPER: Blushing Bride(SU!)
Here are the dimensions for the paper cuts:
You Must check out Jenn's site for other examples

A Little Bit of Shine

I wanted to play around a little with my clear embossing powder.  It's hard to show in photos, but what I did here was stamp the butterflies with Versamark and then heat embossed, using clear embossing powder.  After I cut out several 'celebrate' I stacked them together and glued them.  I then, dipped the entire word in Versmark ink pad and sprinkled on clear embossing powder and heat set it.  It gives it a kind- of patent leather -look, don't you think?

I'm adding this to the CAS(E) this Sketch for this week.
CAS(E) #334
Here is the sketch:

You should check out some of the other great takes on this sketch.

What I did:
STAMPS: Butterfly Gala Stamp set (SU!)
CARDSTOCK & PAPER: Cream(SU!) card base: cut 5.5 x 8 1/2 scored at 4.25, Cream(SU!) cut 5.5" x 4.25" , adhering it to the card base with Tape’ , after everything running it through the embossing folder with some  crumb cake ink rubbed on it.
CARDSTOCK: Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Lemon Lime Twist (All SU! cardstock)
INK:Versamark, Crumb Cake for the embossing folder.
OTHER: Pinewood Plank Embossing Folder (SU!), Double Butterfly Punch (SU!)Snail
You can really see the shine here.
Adhesive(SU!),  Celebration die cut(Ellison), Clear embossing Powder (SU!), Tear & Tape (SU!) Simply Scored (SU!), liquid glue.
TECHNIQUE: I dabbed a little crumb cake ink from the ink pad, directly on the embossing folder.  Ran the cream cardstick through using Pinewood Plank folder.  I stamped a few butterfly images using with Versa Mark and immediately sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heat set.  Once dry, I punched out the butterflies and placed them on the card.  After cutting out several 'Celebrate' I glued them together and dipped the entire word in clear embossing powder and heat set it.  Using liquid glue I adhered the entire word over the butterflies.

What have you used your clear embossing powder for?

Fall/Holiday Catalog Sneak Peak

Being a Stamping' Up! Demonstrator has its perks! I was able to get  look at the Fall/Holiday Catalog last month.  Better than that, I was able to place an order.  I've been playing a bit since it's all arrived.  Here are a few of my products. If I wasn't dealing with a back injury I would have much, much more.

I'm so excited to share the new catalog with all my customers.  If you are not a customer of mine- reach out- I would be happy to have you join us on our stamping and paper craft adventure.  I've included step by step directions on making this treat holder using Stampin' Up! DSP reversible paper.  This is thick paper that makes great boxes, treat bags, and holders! Treat holder directions are at the bottom.

Here is a sneak peak of some of my favorite products:

May absolute favorite is this 'Feels Like Frost' Paper and Die cuts.  This paper is gorgeous! This would make a very simple card front as well as some beautiful background paper for a scrapbook page.

If you can click on the image and zoom in, you will really get to see the beautiful detail.

Toile Tidings.  I had to have this entire suite.  Check out the distinctive Cardinal stamp.  This is one of the samples I played with above.
The paper is beautiful and this is
12 x 12 DSP

Night Before Christmas is some beautiful 6 x 6 double sided paper.  There's the cutest stamp set that coordinates. There is also an entire kit that all the pieces, directions are included for several projects.

Hope you liked the sneak peak. I will get out the Catalogs to all my customers Sept. 4!
IN the mean time here are the directions for the Easy Treat Holder.  I did this with 6 x 6 paper, but if you want a larger treat holder, start with a larger square.

Cute as an Elephant

Less is More and CAS(E) this Sketch
Isn't that a phrase?  Needed to create a Get Well card and wanted to combine some of this week's challenge. Less is More has a color challenge. CAS(E) this sketch had a fun sketch this week that I will be entering my elephant card in.

I used an older stamp set and dug deep into my scrap pile to get the colors. I stamped the elephant using grey and colored it in with colored pencils.

I hope the intended recipient will enjoy this cute card.

Redeem Your Codes

It's time to search your email for all those codes that you earned in July.  Having trouble finding them all- search 'You Earned a Bonus Days Coupon Code' in the search box.  I went ahead and printed mine out and put them with my catalog.

The directions are below on how to go about 'cashing them in.'

I had fun with one of the new stamp sets, last night.  This may be one you passed on, but as I took a second look, I thought of all sorts of ways to use it. The set is called 'Check You Out'.

I am a Technology Coach at my school and the Librarian.  I love this set to use as a Thank you card for all my volunteers and Clerks.  A friend just had hip surgery and am created this to give to her.

As we are starting to gear up to go back to school, I sent this one out to my Clerks with a little gift card telling them how excited I am for another year!.

What Did:

149462

Stamp Set: Check You Out (SU! 19-20 Catalog)
CARDSTOCK & PAPER: Smoky Slate(SU!) card base: cut 4-1/2 x 11 scored at 5-1/2, Bermuda
Bay(SU!) cut 3-1/2 x 4-3/4, Whisper White with Stitched rectangle Die. Used a scrap of granny Apple green to punch 1" circle
INK:Bermuda Bay, Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, Smoky Slate.
OTHER: White embossing powder, Snail Adhesive(SU!), dimensionals, Tear & Tape (SU!) Simply Scored (SU!) Scissor snips
TECHNIQUE: First, I stamped the smoky Slate with the hearts- this creates background without using DSP paper.  I 'built' the owl top down>owl, green book, next book, last. I stamped the sentiment in Versmark and then used white embossing powder and heat set it. I adhered everything with Tear & Tape, except I used dimensional for the sentiment circle.
